|Description:||HumRRO’s Educational Policy Impact Center is seeking a Principal Scientist to provide strong and unique technical contributions to proposals and projects. Individual is a technical expert who has a strong professional reputation within the educational research and measurement fields and fosters visibility through publications, presentations, and networking activities. Individual will support expansion of existing contracts and development of new business. |
The position requires mastery of a wide range of theory and practices in educational research, measurement, or related field. Individual will develop or apply theories and new advanced technical knowledge to solve unique and challenging problems. Individual will be responsible for developing plans and conducting research; directing projects; performing technically difficult, controversial, or sensitive work; identifying business opportunities; participating in networking activities; maintaining a significantly visible professional reputation; and building personal contacts with high-ranking persons from outside HumRRO. Individual will provide technical or substantive mentoring to other employees in knowledge areas in which s/he has expertise.
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in educational measurement, educational policy, educational or quantitative psychology, or a closely related discipline and a minimum of 15–20 years post-academic research experience. Should also exhibit evidence of original, significant, and recognized contributions to educational research and measurement.
