|Description:||HumRRO’s Educational Policy Impact Center is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to the organization’s educational research activities. Individual will typically direct projects and assume responsibility for the technical quality, timeliness, and budget for research projects. Individual may provide technical mentoring to other employees and provide feedback on project-related activities. Individual will participate in expansion of existing contracts and development of new business through proposal writing and business networking. Projects may include, but not be limited to:|
• Evaluation of educational programs and policies
• Independent validation of psychometric results
• Administration of alignment workshops and assessment of alignment between curriculum content and standards and test content
• Qualitative observations of classroom practices and testing processes
• Collection and analysis of data gathered through surveys, focus groups, meetings, extant databases, and Websites
The position requires knowledge of educational measurement and policy issues; a strong foundation in applied research design, test construction and validation, methodology and statistics (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R); excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and teamwork skills; and the ability to make decisions or recommendations that significantly inform, change, interpret, or develop important educational policies or programs. Candidates should be willing to work on a variety of types of tasks and projects, and possess a desire to learn and develop inventive methods that respond to client needs. Candidates with a doctoral degree in educational measurement, educational policy, educational psychology, or a closely related discipline are preferred.
