|Description:||Individuals needed to plan and manage program areas devoted primarily to applied research and consulting in core areas of industrial-organizational psychology and/or educational research and psychometrics. Primary responsibilities involve staff management, project work, and business development. Staff management involves, but is not limited to, ensuring that staff members have project coverage; ensuring sufficient staffing for HumRRO projects; developing staff capabilities; providing contract oversight and supervision of project staff; providing technical oversight to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of deliverables; and working with project directors and clients to meet shifting requirements to ensure client satisfaction. Project work involves directing research projects and being part of project teams. Business development involves design and outreach of the program; monitoring the market; and establishing and maintaining contacts with sponsors to obtain continuation and expansion of contracts, identify project opportunities, and contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the HumRRO client base. |
This individual will report to the Vice President of Research and Consulting Operations.
Individual should have:
Doctoral degree or equivalent experience in industrial-organizational psychology, educational measurement, or closely related field
10+ years post graduate experience
Experience writing winning proposals for applied research and consulting contracts
Demonstrated skill in planning, conducting, and managing applied R&D and consulting activities
Demonstrated skill in managing staff and working as part of a team
Mastery of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in I-O psychology or educational research and psychometrics
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Passion for timely, high quality service and deliverables
This position is located in HumRROs Alexandria, VA headquarters office though placement in either the Louisville, KY or Minneapolis, MN offices would be considered as well.
